Underfire Kepa receives assurances from Chelsea management

Kepa Arrizabalaga is digging in his heels at Chelsea.

The Daily Mail says Kepa wants to stay and fight for his future at Stamford Bridge and believes he has support from the club's hierarchy.

The £71.6million signing from Athletic Bilbao has come under pressure this season after being dropped and manager Frank Lampard warned Kepa that he needed to work harder to sustain his place in the side.

Though he was recalled to the starting line up and praised for his reaction, Chelsea are looking to add another goalkeeper in the summer transfer window mindful that understudy Willy Caballero turns 39 in September.

The 25-year old is happy in London and has been assured by senior figures that he has a future at the club even if Lampard pushes for improved competition.
