UNCOVERED: Who voted to keep Premier League loans for network clubs

Premier League clubs have voted to allow teams to sign players on loan from sides with the same ownership.

The issue came to a head due to Newcastle United's interest in Ruben Neves, who plays in Saudi Arabia.

The Magpies are owned by the same Public Investment Fund that owns Saudi's Al-Hilal, where Neves plays.

Aside from Newcastle, the other teams to vote in favour of this measure were Manchester City, Chelsea, Everton, Sheffield United, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Burnley and Nottingham Forest, per Chronicle Live.

The rest of the teams in the league did not want to allow such loan deals to take place.

However, they were the ones introducing a new rule, which meant they needed a bigger majority.
