Everton midfielder Dele Alli says signing for Besiktas was his choice.

Alli has joined Besiktas on-loan for the season and is line to make his debut against Sivasspor.

"This is the way out for me," said Alli, "I've had good times and hard times in England for myself... But I left them all behind and came to Beşiktaş.

"This is my own choice.

“Enthusiasm is very important to me in football. Beşiktaş's enthusiastic supporters were very influential in my choice. It is a good coincidence that we will play the first game at home.

"Starting with the fans will be a separate motivation for me. I also have friends from the team that I talk to. They said very nice things to me. I know that I will do great things here."

Fanatik says the deal includes a permanent option. He joins Besiktas for a loan fee of €2.2m plus €10,000-a-match.
