Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel admits that he would prefer to see Real Madrid progress into the semi finals, rather than Liverpool.

The Blues booked their spot in the semis after a 2-1 aggregate quarter final success over FC Porto.

They will now take on the winners of the Liverpool and Real tie, where Real have a 3-1 lead going into the second leg in England on Wednesday.

Tuchel told reporters: "In general I like not to play against teams from your same league in the Champions League as it gives more of a feeling of a European competition but that is the only thing.

"The game is far from over but I will watch it for sure. Everything is possible.

"Liverpool are very strong at home so we take what we get. It is a good situation for us."
