Trabzonspor are trying to sign Aston Villa winger Trezeguet on the cheap.

Trezeguet spent the second half of the 2021/22 campaign on loan with Istanbul Basaksehir, where he caught the eye with his performances. In 13 appearances for the club he scored six goals and provided a further four assists.

Trabzonspor are now showing their interest. The Daily Mail report says that Trezeguet is 'wanted' by the club who 'hope' they can come to an agreement with Villa.

However, the report also adds that transfer budgets have been 'slashed' in Turkey this year, meaning that the fees on offer could be lower than previous seasons as clubs balance their budget more carefully. It means that negotiations over a potential transfer could take longer than usual.
