Totti makes winning return for Roma

Francesco Totti made a winning return for Roma in last night's 2-0 victory over Cagliari.

Totti made his comeback six weeks after sustaining an ankle injury against Sporting Lisbon and seemed to be in good form. Rodrigo Taddei grabbed the headlines with both goals as Roma maintain the three-point gap from leaders Inter after the rescheduled Week 12 games.

Roma coach Luciano Spalletti said: "As Rodrigo Taddei provides a lot of quality and hard work in the Trequartista role, he helps the other two to co-exist. He is an exceptional lad and a complete player.

"Inter did better than us in the direct confrontation at the Olimpico, making the most of the elements that went their way. That game is the only difference between us now."

On the new partnership of Totti and Mirko Vucinic, Spalletti added: "I don't know if I'll field them against Livorno this weekend because that could cause some tiredness so soon after this match, but it is a system we can repeat."
