Tottenham Hotspur's Andros Townsend is targeting a spot in the England squad for next year's European Championships in France.
24-year-old Townsend missed the 2014 FIFA World Cup due to an ankle ligament injury and the winger has since struggled to establish himself as a regular for the England national team due to a host of other fitness related problems.
Townsend has now seemingly put his injury problems behind him and has stated that he is targeting a spot in the Three Lions' squad for Euro2016 provided he can find some consistency at club level with Spurs.
Townsend said: "The Euros is a huge incentive for me. But my club form will dictate whether or not I'm in the squad. If I'm playing well for Spurs then I know the England manager will include me in the squad. We have a good relationship.
"Every time he's called on me I've done a good job. I don't see any reason for him to lose faith in me. I just need to get back to my best level of performance and get back in the starting XI at Spurs."
