Tottenham striker Son rejects Conte style critics

Tottenham striker Heung-min Son is happy playing manager Antonio Conte's style of football.

Spurs' style may be a talking point amongst many but Son has admitted that the criticism "doesn't really bother" the team.

"No, I think it doesn't matter. I think they criticise because we are almost in a good position in both the league and Champions League as well," said the 30-year-old. "I think the criticism is because the expectation is high so I am looking at it that way. Maybe I am too positive? But I think looking that way is good.

"Obviously there will be some improvement and there will be some mistakes. We want to as a group always be better but the criticism doesn't really bother us to be honest because we only focus on ourselves."

Spurs are in a promising position to reach the knockout phase of the Champions League after moving top of Group D following their 3-2 win over Eintracht Frankfurt.

"The Champions League is every club's dream, not only ours. I think everyone is dreaming to play in the Champions League," he said. "We are top of the group but it doesn't mean anything at the moment. There will be two massive games, two important games, and we just have to focus.

"In two weeks we have another home game so we can prepare well, we can do everything completely (normally) so it is in our hands. We need to do our best to do what we want to achieve. I don't really focus on any other team and what they are thinking about our team because I am only focused on our team and what we can do better."
