Tottenham striker Harry Kane will work to a new fitness programme over the summer.
The England captain missed significant spells after suffering two almost identical ankle ligament injuries.
Kane has been given a fitness schedule designed to help toughen the left ankle that has been damaged this season, says the Daily Mail.
His programme will incorporate beach and hill running, while the striker's plan also includes double sessions to ensure his body is ready for the start of next season.
Kane's fitness has been thrust into the spotlight since the turn of the year due to ankle injuries suffered against Manchester United in the Premier League and Manchester City in the Champions League — ironically in challenges with fellow England players Phil Jones and Fabian Delph respectively.
