New Spurs manager Ange Postecoglou are keen to find a new centre-half signing.
Bayer Leverkusen defender Edmond Tapsoba and VfL Wolfsburg's Micky van de Ven are both being considered, says Fussball Transfers.
It's suggested Spurs see Tapsoba as the favoured option.
