Tottenham are pondering a £20million bid for Saido Berahino.

According to The Independent, Spurs are determined to land a new striker and will return with a second offer for the West Bromwich Albion star.

Albion turned down Spurs chairman Daniel Levy's initial bid of £18m recently but it has been suggested that the North London club are readying an improved proposal for the West Midlands outfit.

Berahino has been linked with Tottenham all summer but it remains to be seen whether or not he will up and leave The Hawthorns following his 14-goal Premier League campaign last term.

It is believed that Spurs will end their pursuit of the England U21 international if the Baggies reject another offer
