Tottenham keeper coach Parks hails attitude of his senior trio

Tottenham goalkeeping coach Tony Parks is delighted with the attitude of his three shot-stoppers.

Brad Friedel, Carlo Cudicini and Heurelho Gomes all have good cases for the No1 spot at Spurs.

"For me, it's an easy job because it's a pleasure to work for them," Parks, himself a former Spurs number one, told the club's website.

"They make my life easy; they do the work, they never question what I ask them to do and long may it continue.

"They are such good pros. They're a really easy group to work with. They come out, they work together, they get on together and they work really hard. They never shirk their training responsibilities.

"Brad, Carlo and Gomes all get on as friends, but they are rivals. They all want to play in the first team and they all want to play regularly. At the moment Brad's got the shirt, but when he sees Carlo playing like he did in the Europa League he knows that he needs to put a performance in on Sunday if called upon.

"Brad and Carlo have been in the game a long time. They use their experience and do that little bit extra that keeps them at the top. My job's made easy by the fact that they're top, top professional footballers."
