Tottenham fullback Kieran Trippier admits that he deserved to miss out on the Nations League Finals with England.
The right-back was a key figure for the team at the World Cup, playing in a wing back role and impressing in both defence and attack.
However, Trippier has been criticised by fans and pundits for his displays with Tottenham this season, as he has often been their weakest link at the back. And the 28-year-old acknowledges he had a disappointing season.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Trippier said: "If the manager selects me to play, I will always give everything I can. Everybody makes mistakes - I have made plenty this season but I am the one to own up to them.
"I have had plenty of interviews about my performances this season and it has not been good at all. I am the first one to say that."
Trippier is reportedly a target for Napoli, Manchester United and Juventus.
