Tottenham fullback Danny Rose has copped abuse from fans on Twitter after his red card at Aston Villa yesterday.

Rose was sent off for a challenge on Alan Hutton as Spurs drew 1-1 with Villa.

He said: "So so sorry about today ... There was a slight nudge before the challenge but doesn't justify it at all. Wouldn't intentionally do that as Hutton is a friend !!! To the few people who have tweeted support thanks a lot ! To those of my own fans who tweeted abuse thanks as well !!" [sic]
