Tottenham won't be able to confirm their deal for Corinthians midfielder Paulinho until after the Confederations Cup.
The Daily Star Sunday says they are confident they have clinched a £17million deal for highly-rated Brazilian midfielder Paulinho.
Spurs declined to confirm the deal but a club source said: "It's possible, not definite."
But Corinthians director of football, ex-Arsenal star Edu, said there have been developments and a move to London is now looking very likely.
He said: "It is well under way. We have to agree on some details of the negotiation, so I can't say he will leave just yet but negotiations are good."
