Tottenham Hotspur defender Cristian Romero wants to put an end to Miguel Amiron's outstanding form.

The Magpies have been indebted to Almiron's heroics for several weeks in the Premier League.

He scored a great goal to get them a point against Bournemouth at the weekend.

“Newcastle are fighting for Champions League places," Romero told La Nacion.

“I always watch the Newcastle games and he (Almiron) is in a very good moment.

“You can tell he's a great player and let's hope he slackens off a bit and we go up (the league)."
