Tottenham defender Cristian Romero has clarified his relationship with an international teammate.

Romero was involved in a contentious game against Chelsea in the Premier League recently, which his side lost 4-1 after he received a red card.

However, Romero stated there is no bad blood between him and Argentina colleague Enzo Fernandez, who plays for Chelsea.

“Always happy and happy to return to the national team, what I love the most and what I enjoy so much," the 25-year-old told El Doce.

On any issues with Enzo, he added: “Obviously everything is fine. They are things that happen in the game, they remain there, always."

The central defender has been dealing with disciplinary issues for the past 18 months.
