Tottenham defender Caulker breaks down at Swansea

Tottenham defender Steven Caulker has suffered a knee injury at Swansea City.

The 19-year-old on-loan centre-half has started all four of the Swans Premier League games to date but damaged his cartilage after twisting his knee making a brave goal-line clearance in the 1-0 defeat at Arsenal last weekend, and will return to parent club Tottenham for treatment.

A Swansea statement read: "A scan this week confirmed the injury and Caulker will return to White Hart Lane tomorrow to be assessed further by club specialists when a further update will follow."
