Tottenham are reportedly interested in signing Gent forward Laurent Depoitre should their attempt to lure West Bromwich Albion striker Saido Berahino to White Hart Lane in January fail.

Spurs had four bids for Berahino turned down by the Baggies during the summer and may now turn their attention to Depoitre as an alternative.

Belgian publication Het Laaste Nieuws is reporting the North London club have sent scouts to Belgium to watch the 26-year-old, who has scored four goals in nine appearances this season.
