Tottenham football chief Steve Hitchen has been spotted with an Inter Milan official this week.
The London Evening Standard says Spurs are interested in signing the Inter Milan centre back, with the club apparently prepared to pay a fee in the region of £45million (€50m) for the Slovakian international.
Jose Mourinho is believed to be a long-time admirer of the 25-year-old. While at Manchester United he was interested in signing the Inter Milan defender.
Tottenham are keen to add a defender and a striker to their squad having recently secured deals with Real Madrid for Gareth Bale and Sergio Reguilon.
And on Wednesday, pictures emerged on Twitter reportedly showing Steve Hitchen – who was promoted from chief scout earlier this year – with a delegate from the Serie A side.
