Tottenham head coach Ange Postecoglou has been asked about the club's youth prospects.
The former Celtic manager has come in with a mandate to get the club back into European football.
However, Postecoglou knows that funds are not unlimited at Spurs, which means dipping into the youth team may give him a chance to secure promising talents for his first team squad.
Asked about those talents, he told reporters: “Yeah, it's an important part of this football club and the infrastructure and it's something that we're constantly monitoring to make sure the club is in the best place possible to find and develop the best talent.
“We've got Alfie Devine with us and Dane Scarlett, who are two young guys who have done really well so far and been with the first team.
“All those kind of things are really important but from my perspective I've only been in the job for three weeks so the academy, as important as it is, is not at the forefront of my mind right now."
