Mauricio Pochettino admits Tottenham need another striker.
Spurs have been heavily linked with a number of attackers during the summer transfer window but are yet to add a quality goalscorer to help ease the burden on young gun Harry Kane.
As Tottenham prepare for Saturday's home clash with Stoke City, Pochettino revealed that the North London club were certainly working towards the capture of a new striker before the market closes on September 1.
"I think we need one more striker and we have different players that can play like a striker," Pochettino said.
"We have different offensive players that can play in different options, but I think we don't need too much players to bring in."
"We are working to take the right profile, the right player. But we don't take a rash decision. We wait for the good opportunity to bring in."
Spurs continue to be linked with Lyon's Cameroon international Clinton N'Jie, with some reports suggesting a deal is imminent, while West Bromwich Albion star Saido Berahino remains a key target.
