Tottenham boss Conte hooked Sessegnon after 28mins in Wolves defeat

Tottenham boss Antonio Conte hooked Ryan Sessegnon after just 28 minutes during their 2-0 home defeat to Wolves.

There had been suggestions that Sessegnon could establish himself as a key player for Tottenham under Conte at left wing-back.

However, the 21-year-old struggled against Wolves and was replaced by Dejan Kulusevski on 28 minutes.

Conte's side found themselves 2-0 down within 20 minutes at White Hart Lane, with Leander Dendoncker scoring one that was down to comical Spurs errors.

Raul Jimenez opened the scoring with Hugo Lloris looking rather unconvincing and the goalkeeper started the move that led to Wolves' second with a poor pass.

It was the first time Spurs had found themselves two goals down at half time of a Premier League home game since December 2019, against Chelsea.
