Tottenham boss Antonio Conte says he's ready to "die" for the club.

Conte is off contract at the end of the season.

He said on Friday: "I have said for a long time that we need patience. But the people around me unfortunately don't have that or they don't want to understand the truth.

"I am ready to die for this club but at the end of the day I will not be stupid enough to kill myself.

"I signed a strange contract with the club, one and a half years. Usually, you sign a three-year contract. I think the reason was that the club wanted to get to know me as a person and my capacity as a coach and for me it was the same. I wanted to find out if we have the same ambitions.

"After a year and a half, the club knows who I am and I have gotten to know the club. We have to finish the season first and then we have to evaluate."
