Tottenham attacker Moura confirms 'I'll play through pain' to cover striker absence

Tottenham attacker Lucas Moura is willing to play through the pain barrier over the coming fortnight ahead of the World Cup break up.

Moura is ready to solve Tottenham's striker crisis but is still playing through the pain of the heel injury that ruled him out for two months earlier this season.

"I'm happy because I'm back and I can help the team," said Moura. "It's difficult to get my best form in just a few games but, step by step, I will get there.

"It's my tendon in the heel. I keep doing the treatment to play and I can play with the pain, that I can manage. The most important thing is for me to be on the pitch, doing what I love to do.

"Sometimes but it's normal for a football player because it's difficult to play without any pain. We are used to playing with injuries."

He added: "It certainly feels like all the injuries came at once with all the strikers.

"You need to have everyone ready to come in and help and my injury now is getting better, every game I am feeling better."
