Tottenham are believed to be showing considerable interest in a pair of key Southampton players.
The Daily Mirror reports that Spurs' new head of recruitment Paul Mitchell, who recently joined from Southampton, has identified Saints duo Morgan Schneiderlin and Jay Rodriguez as January targets.
Tottenham were linked with Schneiderlin in the summer but the French midfielder did not join the mass St Mary's exodus at the time. It is believed that he is still keen on a move away from the south coast where he has been since joining from Strasbourg in 2008.
Striker Rodriguez is also a target for Spurs despite not making a Premier League appearance because of a knee injury sustained in April.
