Former Real Sociedad coach John Toshack is excited seeing his old team at the top of the table.
Toshack also admits he's been surprised by the impact of coach Imanol Alguacil, who he worked with at La Real as a player.
He told Radio Marca: "La Real is doing something extraordinary and of course seeing Imanol on the bench makes me very excited, it makes me remember the times when he started at Real, with Luis Pérez, Imaz, Guruceta and Alkiza, when they debuted against Zaragoza, with a 0-0 draw.
"No, I couldn't imagine it (Imanol becoming a coach), but it usually happens. It was difficult for Luis Pérez and him to say good morning, Alkiza and Guruceta were a little more lively and savvy.
"Imanol de Orio, as we called him, was all honour, up and down down on the field. It was difficult to have a conversation with him in those days. Bittor was still more interested in training, it's funny to see Imanol coaching, it gives me a smile."
