Toronto FC have unveiled the details of its CAN$120 million stadium renovations plans, reports, www.sportspromedia.com/. BMO Field, the club's soccer specific home that opened in 2007, is having its capacity enlarged by 8,400 to 30,000.
12 new executive boxes, a new kitchen, a new concourse, a new videoboard will also be installed at the city-owned venue.
Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment, the operating group behind the team, is contributing CAN$95 million towards the renovation, the City of Toronto has pledged CAN$10 million, while the federal and provincial governments are due to stump up another CAN$10 million each.
Financial group BMO has a stadium naming rights deal in place until the end of 2016, but recently indicated it would not be renewing its front-of-shirt sponsorship of Toronto FC, which expires at the end of this year.
