Manchester United's new signing Rasmus Hojlund has received rave reviews from an old opponent.

Tirol defender Raffael Behounek, who has jostled with both Erling Haaland and United's Hojlund, has praised the latter.

The Red Devils' new £72 million signing seemingly had even more potential at the same age as Haaland.

“We were 1-0 up and then Rasmus scored twice – it was difficult to mark him because he is so fast, smart and is also very strong," recalled Behounek to The Express.

“Sturm Graz had just sold another attacker Kelvin Yeboah to Genoa but I had to tell their manager they would sell this guy [Hojlund] for way more money.

“We exchanged trash talk during the game, he was so young yet still so good.

“He has what it takes to be one of the best strikers in the world. In a few years he could play for Real Madrid or Barcelona – he just needs time."
