Theo Hernandez was full of pride proving AC Milan's matchwinner in victory over Lazio.

Theo struck in injury-time to secure the 3-2 win for the Serie A leaders.

“It was an important goal, it's a pity the fans are not here to celebrate with us, a great year comes to an end, it was special," Theo told DAZN.

Milan director Paolo Maldini left the stands after the game to go celebrate on the pitch with the players and the first one he hugged was Theo.

“The thing that the best fullback of all time hugged me after the game is fantastic, Lazio played a great game, but we fought hard and deserved to win."

Asked if he was the best left-back in the world, Theo added: “I work every day, I always try to improve to become the best in the world, I need to thank my teammates who are helping me."
