The 2 summer signings Mourinho wanted at Man Utd

Jose Mourinho wanted TWO new centre-halves signed by Manchester United last summer, it has been revealed.

The London Evening Standard says United chief Ed Woodward was surprised when Mourinho asked for two signings.

The 56-year-old took the club aback when asking for two players midway through the summer transfer window.

It is said he wanted Jerome Boateng, of Bayern Munich.

And Yerry Mina, who was at Barcelona at the time, was another player in his sights.

However, Woodward was only keen to sign Boateng on loan. And Mina's agent's financial demands scuppered his chances of a move to Old Trafford.
