Terry: Hiddink has picked everybody up at Chelsea

Guus Hiddink has had an extremely positive impact on Chelsea since stepping in as caretaker manager.

The Dutchman replaced Jose Mourinho at Stamford Bridge on December 19 and has since overseen three matches resulting in two draws and Sunday's 3-0 win at Crystal Palace.

Regarding Hiddink, who performed a similar interim role in 2009, captain John Terry suggested the experienced coach had quickly influenced the playing group who had undergone a difficult spell with Jose Mourinho at the helm.

"It's unfortunate what's happened," Terry told Sky Sports.

"We feel like we've let everyone down. But he's been great since he came in.

"Like he did last time he's picked everyone up and we've gone again, and that's always been there.

"It's just unfortunate it wasn't earlier in the season. But we are where we are, and slowly climbing this league table."

Goals from Oscar, Willian and Diego Costa gave the Blues a convincing victory in South London which has them sitting 14th on the league table with 23 points from 20 matches.
