Gokhan Inler was elated to have completed his transfer to Leicester City on Wednesday.
The 31-year-old Switzerland international has joined the Foxes from Napoli on a three-year deal for a reported fee of £3million.
After completing his move from Italy to the East Midlands of England, midfielder Inler spoke of his delight at being afforded the opportunity to play in the Premier League.
"I'm very happy and proud to play here because we've been in discussions for a long time," Inler told Foxes Player HD. "I've spoken with the manager and I'm very happy to be here because it's a nice team. I've watched them lots of times and I like them.
"The manager was important for me, also the Director Jon Rudkin and the owners. For me the whole package was very positive because they wanted me and now I'll give everything.
"For me it was not so easy because I had many, many teams [chasing me] but in the end I decided with my heart and I came Leicester City.
"I feel this is like a family. I saw the games and the fans are behind the team. I like this very much. My impression is very positive. The team fight every minute and I like it because the fans want this. We must show them this every game on the pitch."
