Swansea winger Routledge: Hull's Huddlestone deserves World Cup call

Swansea City winger Wayne Routledge is backing Hull City midfielder Tom Huddlestone to make England's World Cup squad.

The pair played together with Tottenham.

"Tom is one of the most under-rated players in the league. I have never seen anyone do what he can do with both feet with a football," the Swans winger said.

"Jake (Livermore) compliments him well. Hudds has the vision and he can play the pass and Jake does a lot of his work. It's a good pairing.

"I am sure Tom was appreciated at Tottenham, but it gets to a time in everyone's career when you want to play games.

"If you are not playing the games then why are you playing football?

"He made a decision to go to Hull and he's had a good season."

But what about a place in Hodgson's World Cup squad?

"For me, yes. He has got the talent and ability to be around that squad, there is no question of that in my mind."
