Swansea City boss Steve Cooper admits they want to keep hold of on-loan Newcastle United goalkeeper Freddie Woodman.

The 22-year-old has impressed in his temporary stint at the Liberty Stadium so far, playing every minute of their Championship campaign and registering nine clean sheets in the league.

Cooper told WalesOnline: "We'd all love Freddie to stay for longer than the season.

"Whether that's possible, we'll have a look in the summer. I think he'd definitely like to.

"The affection the fans have shown Freddie, I think he really feels it and likes to show it back because it's mutual."
