Sunderland have signed striker Jozy Altidore from AZ Alkmaar.
The 23-year old USA international has signed a four-year deal with the Black Cats after passing a medical on Wearside.
The former New York Red Bulls, Hull City and Villarreal man said: "'I'm thrilled to be here. It's a fantastic club, I'm really excited about this season and I'm excited to be a part of it."
Altidore, who scored 31 goals for Alkmaar last season, becomes Paolo Di Canio's sixth summer signing following Vito Mannone, Valentin Roberge, Modibo Diakite, Cabral and David Moberg Karlsson to the Stadium of Light.
