Sunderland are interested Livorno striker Paulinho.
The Brazilian hit the winner for Livorno in their promotion playoff final victory against Empoli last month.
Sunderland and Sampdoria are chasing Paulinho, whose agent Andrea Bagnoli said: "In my opinion, a player like him, before going abroad must score 10 to 12 goals in the Italian league."
