AIK Stockholm winger Nabil Bahoui is being tracked by Sunderland.
The Daily Star Sunday says Bahoui has attracted interest from a string of Premier League clubs including Everton, Southampton, Stoke City and Crystal Palace.
Bahoui, 23, is valued at about £3million and Goodison Park boss Roberto Martinez had hoped to seal a deal for him in the summer.
French sides Marseille, Lille and St Etienne, along with Dutch club Heerenveen, have all also been linked with Bahoui.
But the Black Cats could test AIK with an offer when the transfer window opens again in January.
