Sunderland boss Gus Poyet was pleased with Nacho Scocco's debut in their FA Cup win over Southampton.
Scocco shone up front during the 1-0 win over Southampton, playing just over an hour before making way for Connor Wickham.
"I think the idea with Nacho is to start slowly and get him used to the pace of the game - he will get into positions that nobody expects," Poyet said.
"He had a great 65 minutes and we'll look forward to seeing him on the pitch in the next few weeks.
"He knows how to see things, he knows how we move the ball and he just needs to get sharp and match fit - the rest he's got in the locker."
