Sunderland boss David Moyes is targeting Stoke City veteran Peter Crouch.

The Sun says Moyes has limited funds to spend in January — but wants the towering veteran to reignite his old strike partnership with Jermain Defoe.

Between them they scored 24 goals at Portsmouth, then 37 in their first season at Tottenham.

Crouch, 35, will have six months on his contract at the bet365 Stadium in January and Stoke will cash in to avoid losing him on a free transfer.
