Sunderland boss Steve Bruce wants to keep Jordan Henderson and Conor Hourihane at the club for preseason training.
The Journal says Bruce is keen to see more of winger Henderson, who excelled while on loan at Coventry City last season, and 18-year-old Irish midfielder Hourihane before deciding which of his young players should be allowed to leave on loan.
