Stuttgart defender Benjamin Pavard calm over Man Utd, Barcelona enquiries

VfB Stuttgart defender Benjamin Pavard is staying grounded over interest from Europe's biggest clubs.

The newly capped France international is being watched by Barcelona, while Tribalfootball.com can reveal United boss Jose Mourinho made a direct enquiry about Pavard's situation a fortnight ago.

However, speaking with BILD, the young stopper insists he isn't getting carried away with the hype swirling around him.

"I am not concerned with these things at all," he said. "This is not the time for that. I'm not a guy who's got a big head because of that. At the moment, only VfB matters to me.

"I do not know anything about the interest of other clubs. Good things come to those who wait for it! At the moment I feel very comfortable in Stuttgart and I want to stay competitive with VfB. I was allowed to show myself in the national team, it's something! I am known now. In the next few months, I will have to confirm with Stuttgart.

"I am not a person who plans everything in great detail. I prefer to see it coming. Now what matters is the VfB, I want to stay with them in the Bundesliga after the promotion of last year."
