Robert Huth insists he's learned his lesson as he returns from suspension.
The Stoke defender was caught on camera whacking West Ham's Matt Upson in the head last month.
Huth, who will face Portsmouth tomorrow, said: "I don't think it will happen. If they try to do it, I will be OK. I will have to take it on the chin.
"No one was winding me up in that game anyway. It was wrong time, wrong reaction. It is out of character. I don't go around hurting people.
"I still don't know why I did it. Everybody has a little bit of anger in them and it was just triggered."
Huth intends to say sorry to Upson next time he sees him.
He added: "If I bump into him I will apologise - he might swing one my way! I'm sure it will be all right."
