Stoke boss Hughes eyeing attacking signings

Stoke City boss Mark Hughes wants to add some more quality to his squad this summer with the Welshman eyeing another attacking signing to compliment the Potters riches in that area.

Stoke will finish ninth for a second consecutive year after their final game against Liverpool on Sunday, with Hughes hoping to bring in several big name players in order to continue the club's recent trend of top-half finishes.

"We are trying to get more quality in if we can. There's key areas we can improve on," said Hughes who currently has the likes of Peter Crouch, Peter Odemwingie, Mame Biram Diouf, Jon Walters and Bojan Krkic on his books.

"When everyone is fit and well we are not in bad shape in attacking areas, but if good players become available and they can add to what we've got, we will try to purse them.

"Hopefully, being a consistent top-10 side, that might help us in terms of recruitment, so a lot is riding on staying in the top-10."
