Stewart Downing has hung up the boots.
The Mirror says former Liverpool winger Stewart Downing has retired from football at the age of 37.
He collected 35 England caps and made 725 club appearances across his illustrious career.
Downing makes the decision to hang up his boots after leaving Blackburn Rovers at the expiry of his contract in June.
