Sri Lanka-born Nikki Ahamed has been called up to the senior Chelsea squad for their Champions League tie with Apoel Nicosia.

The 18 year-old is a defensive midfielder, who can also play at fullback.

Ahamed was born in Colombo, Sri Lanka, before his family moved to London where he was raised in the Wembley area.

The youngster has been with Chelsea since he was ten years of age.
