Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas is expecting more from Andros Townsend after his England heroics.
Townsend will be rewarded for his form by keeping his place when Spurs travel to Aston Villa on Saturday, but he faces a battle with new boys Erik Lamela and Nacer Chadli, Aaron Lennon and in-form Gylfi Sigurdsson for a starting spot.
Yet Villas-Boas is convinced the fierce competition can only improve Townsend.
He said: "People are going to be more worried about him, he will be in the public eye more and they will demand more from his performances.
"I expect him to respond."
