Spurs boss Mourinho takes aim at Man Utd ace Fernandes over Son landmark

Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho has taken a dig at Manchester United ace Bruno Fernandes.

Mourinho argues that players who score penalties should not be listed in the Premier League's top scorers.

Fernandes sits third in the Premier League scoring charts this season, netting 11 times for United, five of which have come from the penalty spot.

Mourinho was discussing his own player Heung-Min Son's goal record, which has now hit 100 for Spurs: "I'm very happy for him, I'm very happy that now people realise the player he is.

"I think we all have to explain to people the person he is, too.

"To get the Puskas award, to be scoring 100 goals for Tottenham and to be maybe in the top three Premier League scorers without penalties.

"Some players score 10 goals a season on penalties and I'm not speaking about Harry Kane, by the way.

"I'm so happy for Son."
