Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhuttl has shown new signing Moussa Djenepo that he will motivate him to improve.
The 20-year-old striker joined Saints from Standard Liege on Thursday in a deal reportedly worth £14million.
He told the club's website: : "I analysed the situation a lot – I talked it over with my team and my family and I decided Southampton was right me.
"It's a good club that is progressing. It has great facilities and it's a place that can help me to really kick on and progress.
"I spoke with him [Hasenhuttl] and we had a good chat.
"He showed me that he is ready to help me and that motivates me.
"I'm really looking forward to working with him, listening to his ideas and I know that he is going to bring me a lot as I become more experienced. I am excited about what the future has in store."
