Southampton, Leicester target Ben Arfa set to leave Nice

Nice president Jean-Pierre Rivere has confirmed that Hatem Ben Arfa will be leaving the club this summer.

The 29-year-old winger is out of contract with the Riviera club at the end of the month and is almost certain to depart after a sublime Ligue 1 campaign that delivered 17 goals last season.

Rivere told Canal+ that the former Newcastle United and Hull City man is on his way out at the Allianz Riviera but stopped short of stating where he would continue his career.

"Hatem Ben Arfa will not be in Nice next season," he was quoted as saying.

Ben Arfa is being heavily linked with a potential move to Southampton where he could link up with former Les Aiglons boss Claude Puel, who is the heavy favourite to take the St Mary's job, while reigning Premier League champions Leicester City are also showing genuine interest.

Spanish club Sevilla are also showing interest in the France international while former club Lyon have reportedly made an offer.
